The Autumn Energy team consists primarily of a key management group previously associated with companies like Apache, Concho, ExL, Devon, and others, and has successfully been parts of teams that have drilled and completed over 400 horizontal wells and operated and managed over 300,000 acres of leasehold across the Permian Basin. The team has been involved with numerous drilling projects and transactions across the Permian Basin, many of which have involved publicly traded oil and gas companies.
The company was founded in 2010. Autumn's seasoned team brings a total of 92 years of operation and production expertise. Through their experience and knowledge of the Permian Basin. They have established themselves as experts and sought often by other oil and gas companies for their individual skill set and knowledge of the region. They currently have producing wells located in the counties of Andrews, Martin, and Howard in the state of Texas. All three counties fall in the heart of the Permian Basin. The Permian Basin is the focus of Autumn Energy and their continued expansion of obtaining and operating wells in the region.
Operations:
With Autumn Energy's primary focus on the acquisition and operating of legacy oil and gas properties within the Permian Basin. Autumn Energy specializes in using re-work, stimulation, and optimization techniques to increase production and probability. Autumn Energy is actively operating oil and gas leasehold in the Permian Basin. The Autumn Energy team is also currently looking for acquisition opportunities throughout the Permian Basin.

Autumn Energy has an impeccable record with the EPA and state of Texas. They have never been fined or cited due to hazardous conditions. Safety and the environment are a top priority on all their well sites. As an operator they strive to be a good steward of the lands and are highly conscious of the environment.

The Permian Basin is a large sedimentary Basin in the southwestern part of the United States. It is the highest-producing oil field in the US, producing an average of 4.2 million barrels of crude oil per day in 2019. This sedimentary basin is located in western Texas and far-southeastern New Mexico.
The Permian Basin comprises several component basins, including the Midland Basin, which is the largest; Delaware Basin, the second largest; and Marfa Basin, the smallest. The Permian Basin covers more than 86,000 square miles (220,000 km2) and extends about 250 miles (400 km) wide and 300 miles (480 km) long.
The Texas cities of Midland, Odessa, and San Angelo serve as headquarters for some of the oil production activities in the basin.
The stacked pay zones of the Permian Basin promise steady output for decades to come.
Like a wedding cake, hydrocarbon rich formations cut across the basin, including the Wolfcamp Shale, Spraberry Trend, and Bone Spring Play. The basin’s proven, technically recoverable reserves in the Wolfcamp and Bone Spring Play formations alone are estimated at 50 billion barrels of crude and nearly300 trillion cubic feet of natural gas (source: USGS). How much oil is left in the Permian Basin is also governed by economics with higher commodity prices creating incentive for producers to extract previously uneconomic oil reserves.
Arguably the Permian Basin’s defining characteristic is its stacked pay. While this quality is not exclusive to the Permian, its magnitude of stacked pay is considerably greater than what is seen in most other unconventional plays in North American. To provide context, the thickness of the hydrocarbon column being currently developed is over 2,000 feet in the Midland and Delaware basins, compared to 300 feet and 500 feet in the Williston Basin in North Dakota and Eagle Ford trend in South Texas.
In essence, the term stacked pay refers to the number of commercially viable landing zones that areavailable on a single surface location.
While the resource potential of the Permian Basin’s stacked pay is undeniable, development of this resource is challenging in practice as flow barriers between zones are not always present. As many operators have prioritized development of their most productive landing zones, sub-optimal resource recovery of the commercial hydrocarbon column is observed throughout the basin due to parent-child well dynamics.
